Tai Chi

TaiChi, or tai chi chuan refers to a system of martial arts originating in China that historically had gained notoriety for self-defense efficacy but more recently has been the subject of medical research as a potentially efficacious and low cost intervention to decrease fall risk, and generally maintain good physical and mental health, particularly in those for whom low impact exercise is recommended.  Dr. Ng spent many years learning martial arts from Master Buddy Wu (Wing Chun and Yang’s TaiChi) and in the earlier years, did a fair amount of traveling to participate in exhibitions, competing, and helping to judge in martial arts tournaments around the country.  Presently, we are in the process of implementing a pilot program for interested patients and health professionals.  Please contact us for more details.
